OneDB subscriptions remain valid through the expiration date specified in the active license.

To help administrators plan subscription renewal, OneDB indicates when a subscription is approaching expiration.

Before Subscription Expiration

Starting 30 calendar days before the subscription expiration date, the license status is displayed as Expiring Soon in the License Management page.

The OneDB Admin Console dashboard also displays the subscription expiration date and the number of days remaining.

The subscription remains fully active during this period, including on the stated expiration date.

Administrators are encouraged to renew the subscription before the expiration date to maintain uninterrupted administrative access.

After Subscription Expiration

Beginning on the calendar day following the expiration date, OneDB automatically enters Read-Only Mode.

No restart or manual action is required for the expiration status to take effect.

While OneDB is in Read-Only Mode:

• Administrators can continue signing in to the OneDB Admin Console.
• Existing configuration and system information remain available for viewing.
• Existing OneDB configuration is retained.
• Administrative operations that create, modify, or delete protected configuration are restricted.
• License renewal remains available so that administrators can restore normal operation.

The Admin Console displays an expiration notification indicating that OneDB is operating in Read-Only Mode.

Existing Database Traffic

Subscription expiration does not automatically stop existing OneDB database proxy listeners.

Existing proxied database connections and database traffic can continue to operate using the configuration already deployed in OneDB.

Read-Only Mode primarily restricts administrative configuration changes and does not remove or reset existing database protection configuration.

Restoring Full Operation

To restore normal administrative capabilities, renew the OneDB subscription and apply a valid updated license.

Once a valid subscription is recognized by OneDB, Read-Only Mode is removed and normal administrative operations become available again.

Existing configuration does not need to be recreated after subscription renewal.

Plan subscription renewal before the expiration date.

OneDB begins displaying an expiration warning 30 days before the subscription expires, providing administrators with advance notice to complete the renewal process before Read-Only Mode is activated.
