Release Date: September 2026
Release Type: Feature, Security, and Compatibility Release
Branch: 3.7.0

Overview

OneDB v3.7.0 expands transparent data protection across supported database platforms, with broader tokenization capabilities, protected-data search, improved Oracle compatibility, secure Db2 connectivity, and enhanced Database Browser support.

These improvements help organizations protect sensitive database data while minimizing changes to existing applications.

What’s New in v3.7.0

Expanded Write-Path Tokenization

OneDB now provides expanded write-path tokenization for protected fields configured with Mode=DETOKENIZE.

Applications can continue sending their normal business values while OneDB automatically protects applicable sensitive data before it reaches the database.

Expanded capabilities are available across PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and IBM Db2.

Transparent Search on Protected Data

Applications can now use their original values to search supported fields that are physically stored in tokenized form.

OneDB transparently applies the required protection during supported database operations, allowing applications to continue using familiar database workflows.

Support has been expanded across PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Oracle, and IBM Db2.

PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server Enhancements

OneDB expands protected write and search capabilities across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, including supported prepared-statement and application workflows.

Additional session, transaction, and recovery improvements provide safer and more reliable handling of protected database operations.

MongoDB Enhancements

MongoDB now provides expanded transparent protection across supported read, write, search, update, and delete workflows.

These capabilities are available across qualified plaintext and secure MongoDB Listener configurations.

Oracle Enhancements

OneDB v3.7.0 improves Oracle compatibility and protected-data handling across SQL Developer, JDBC applications, and Database Browser workflows.

The release improves handling of wider and more complex protected query results and expands transparent search capabilities for supported tokenized Oracle fields.

IBM Db2 Enhancements

OneDB expands Db2 protection to supported write and search operations, allowing applications to continue working with familiar values while sensitive database data remains protected.

This release also adds managed TLS connectivity between OneDB and the Db2 backend, including certificate validation through OneDB Certificate Profiles.

Database Browser Enhancements

Database Browser now provides consistent Mode=DETOKENIZE support across all six supported database platforms:

  • Oracle
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • MongoDB
  • IBM Db2

Authorized users can work with protected data while OneDB transparently applies the configured detokenization and presentation-masking policies.

Security and Compatibility

OneDB v3.7.0 introduces additional safeguards to prevent protected plaintext values from reaching the backend database when an applicable operation cannot be processed safely.

Existing Field Settings, masking, Query Audit, Query Whitelist, Protection Rules, Database Guard, Migration, and managed TLS capabilities remain compatible with this release.

Summary

OneDB v3.7.0 extends transparent database protection from data retrieval into broader write and search workflows.

With expanded tokenization, protected-data search, Oracle compatibility improvements, Db2 backend TLS, and enhanced Database Browser support, OneDB continues to strengthen database-layer protection while minimizing application changes.
