The Keys menu is used to manage cryptographic keys used by OneDB for data protection operations.

Keys may be used for tokenization, detokenization, encryption, or other security-related functions depending on the OneDB configuration.

Common Activities

Administrators can use this menu to:

  • Create a key
  • Activate or deactivate a key
  • Assign a key to a template
  • Review key status

Typical Key Information

A key record may include:

Field Description
Key Name The name of the key.
Key Type The type or purpose of the key.
Algorithm The cryptographic algorithm used.
Allow Key Deletion Allow Key Deletion is a security configuration or permission setting that determines whether a user, application, or process has the authority to permanently remove cryptographic keys or registry keys from a system.
